Setforge L’Horme has officially inaugurated its new 300 kJ forging hammer, integrated into a new production line capable of forging parts weighing up to 300 kg. This €4.3 million investment strengthens the site’s production capabilities and competitiveness, while building on more than 120 years of industrial history in L’Horme.
A Major Industrial Project
The project spanned three years, including 20 months of construction work. All work was carried out while production continued at the site, requiring the teams to manage numerous technical and logistical constraints throughout the process.
The new installation also involved 19 local companies working alongside the Setforge L’Horme teams. Its completion reflects a collective effort and the commitment of the site’s employees throughout every stage of the project.
The arrival of the 300 kJ forging hammer and the installation of the new production line represent one of Setforge L’Horme’s first major investments in 15 years. Together, they expand the site’s production capabilities while helping to secure its long-term future.

Customers, partners, employees and institutional representatives gathered in L’Horme to officially mark the completion of the project.
