Setforge Extrusion is one of Europe’s leading specialists in the cold forging of axisymmetric components. Founded in 1968 and located in L’Horme, in the Loire department, the company has built a strong reputation for manufacturing high-precision parts from steel and micro-alloy steel for demanding markets such as automotive, trucks, construction and agricultural equipment.
With production capacities ranging from small series to annual volumes of 200,000 parts, Setforge Extrusion can produce components up to 800 mm in length, 120 mm in diameter and up to 25 kg in weight, a combination of dimensions and cold-forging capability that is almost unique in Europe. Setforge Extrusion operates several cold forging lines that include both automated and non-automated presses, with horizontal and vertical presses ranging from 360 to 1,250 tons. The site is also equipped with a phosphating line, integrated machining capabilities and automated inspection systems. This combination of equipment and process control enables precise dimensional accuracy, consistent quality and reliable throughput across a wide range of axisymmetric part families, while also allowing Setforge Extrusion to deliver finished components ready for assembly.
