Depending on their function, defence components may be exposed to shocks, high cyclic loads, extreme temperatures or particularly severe operating environments. Our hot forging, cold forging, hot extrusion and electrical-upsetting processes produce parts with high metallurgical integrity and grain flow matched to their geometry and loading.

Combined with rigorous material selection, controlled manufacturing parameters and appropriate inspections, this expertise delivers the required levels of strength, toughness and fatigue resistance. Process qualification and property characterization demonstrate consistent mechanical behavior in line with the requirements of critical defence applications.

As an industrial partner to defence prime contractors, Setforge helps preserve know-how and production capabilities essential to sensitive applications. Our forging expertise supports the development of strategic components and strengthens supply-chain resilience, in line with the quality, traceability, documentation and lead-time requirements of each program. Our support covers the entire industrial journey, from defining the forging process through machining and finishing operations. Our in-house capabilities, supplemented where necessary by selected, qualified partners, allow us to deliver finished components and control every critical step of their manufacture.

Our industrial organization supports projects from the first prototypes through to series production. Material traceability, operation tracking and comprehensive quality records ensure components comply with the technical and documentation requirements of defence programs.
