Partner to the world's leading manufacturers
Material Handling Market
The material handling industry demands rugged components that perform reliably under heavy loads and intensive duty cycles. From aerial work platforms to tower cranes, this equipment must move and hold substantial loads with precision while ensuring operator safety and productive operations. Load-bearing parts, pins, axles and driveline components are subjected to static and dynamic forces, load variations, and repeated starts and stops. Used outdoors, they must also keep performing despite moisture, temperature swings, dust and changing weather conditions.
At Setforge, we support manufacturers of telescopic boom lifts, scissor lifts, tower cranes and lifting equipment from early development through series production. Our forging expertise covers structural elements, pivot pins, axles, driveline components and load-bearing assemblies in steel, aluminum and high-strength alloys. Our industrial capabilities allow us to produce forged parts weighing up to 1,500 kg, engineered around the loads, geometry and service conditions of each application.

Reliability Under Load
Forging helps reduce certain porosities and internal discontinuities that can weaken load-bearing components. Controlled material flow orients the grain structure along each part's geometry and main loads, enhancing strength and fatigue performance under repeated load cycles.
These properties allow us to produce components that carry heavy loads while retaining the dimensional stability and functional precision handling equipment relies on. The manufacturing route, from forging through machining and finishing, is handled within our facilities or with selected partners. This organization keeps critical characteristics, traceability and compliance with each project's specifications firmly under control. Our technical support and quality management thus help meet the load, reliability and safety requirements specific to lifting and handling equipment.
