WHEELS & LANDING GEAR

Helicopter landing systems must absorb the loads of frequent landings, sometimes on uneven surfaces or in confined areas. Their components must preserve structural integrity under repeated loads while adding as little as possible to aircraft weight. Our forging expertise produces landing-gear elements with a controlled structure and mechanical properties suited to the application's loads. The combination of alloy selection, deformation process and associated inspections delivers the toughness and fatigue resistance required throughout the components' specified service life.

ROTOR

Rotor components rank among the most critical elements of a helicopter. Subjected to high centrifugal forces, an intense vibration environment and complex loading cycles, they must offer fully characterized properties and outstanding fatigue performance. We hot-forge rotor components in titanium and high-strength steels. Controlled grain-flow orientation along the geometry and loading directions helps optimize their structural efficiency. Process control, backed by rigorous inspections, achieves the consistent mechanical behavior and reliability levels demanded of these critical parts.

ENGINE & GEARBOXES

Helicopter powertrains pair high-speed turboshaft engines with reduction systems that transmit power to the rotors. Shafts, gears and engine components must withstand torque variations, vibration, high temperatures and repeated cycles while preserving the precision the whole system depends on. Depending on the application, our processes produce components and complex blanks in high-strength steels, titanium or nickel-based superalloys. Control of microstructure and material distribution combines strength, fatigue resistance and weight optimization. Completed by precise machining and finishing operations, our capabilities meet the dimensional and functional requirements of helicopter engines and transmissions.
