Partner to the world's leading manufacturers
Energy Market
The power generation industry requires components that operate reliably for decades under extreme conditions, from high-temperature turbines to nuclear reactor environments and offshore wind installations. Equipment downtime in power generation translates to significant economic losses and potential grid stability issues, making component reliability critical for operational success. These applications demand materials that maintain performance across wide temperature ranges, resist corrosion, and provide predictable service life over extended operational periods.
At Setforge, we work with power generation manufacturers producing forged components in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialized high-temperature alloys for thermal, nuclear, and renewable energy systems. Our forge capabilities cover critical power generation equipment including turbine components, reactor system parts, and wind turbine elements. We produce components that meet the demanding requirements of continuous operation environments while supporting the efficiency and safety standards that define modern power generation. Through comprehensive material testing and certification processes, our forged and machined components contribute to the reliability and performance that power generation operators depend on for grid stability and operational excellence.

GAS & STEAM TURBINE
Gas and steam turbines run at high temperatures, pressures and rotational speeds. Large turbines connected to 50 Hz power grids can rotate at 3,000 rpm, while some industrial machines run faster still. In gas turbines, hot-gas temperatures can exceed 1,200 °C; steam turbines operate at lower temperatures but under high pressures and over extended service periods. Their components must retain their mechanical properties and dimensional stability despite thermal stresses, centrifugal forces and repeated start-up, shutdown and load-change phases. Through our command of hot forging, we produce parts whose grain flow and microstructure are matched to their geometry and operating conditions. Material selection and process control deliver the resistance to fatigue, creep and thermal cycling that power generation applications require.

Forged blades
More than 400 toolings developed for international turbine customers.
We produce stationary and moving blades for both gas and steam turbines, forged with envelope on all surfaces and available in three levels of finishing.
Type 1 - Forged with centering holes
Type 2 - Cut to length and centered
Type 3 - With centering holes, machined and finished airfoil

NUCLEAR POWER
Nuclear applications impose particularly stringent requirements for quality, traceability and mechanical-property characterization. Depending on their function and location, components may be subjected to high pressures, elevated temperatures, repeated loading and the effects of irradiation. They must preserve their structural integrity over several decades, within a rigorous aging-management framework. Our forging expertise produces parts with a consistent structure and properties matched to the demands of each piece of equipment. Controlled deformation of the material helps reduce certain porosities and develop the toughness and strength these applications call for. In-depth inspections, complete traceability and rigorous documentation demonstrate compliance with the mechanical, dimensional and quality requirements specific to the nuclear sector.

WIND TURBINE
Wind turbines are exposed to variable loads, wind gusts and repeated operating cycles. For offshore installations, these stresses are compounded by the marine environment and particularly complex maintenance conditions. We produce hub components, shafts and bearing-system parts with material distribution matched to in-service loads. Combined with optimized design, forging helps achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio, a key consideration when handling, transporting and integrating large parts. Our processes deliver components engineered to withstand the cyclic loading of multi-megawatt wind turbines. Their strength and fatigue performance support equipment reliability and availability throughout the installation's planned service life.
