Partner to the world's leading manufacturers
Aerospace Market
The aerospace industry demands components that meet the highest safety standards while minimizing weight and maximizing performance across extreme operating conditions. From commercial aircraft to military applications, every part must demonstrate exceptional reliability through rigorous testing and certification processes. Weight reduction directly impacts fuel efficiency and payload capacity, making material selection and manufacturing processes critical to aircraft performance.
At Setforge, we work with aerospace manufacturers developing components for all aircraft types, producing forged parts in aluminum, titanium, steel, and specialized aerospace alloys. Our forge capabilities cover critical flight systems including landing gear elements, actuator components, structural parts, and engine components, with full traceability and documentation required for aerospace applications. From initial design validation to EN9100 and NADCAP certified production, our approach focuses on meeting stringent aerospace standards while optimizing weight and performance characteristics. Every forged and machined component we produce undergoes comprehensive quality inspection to ensure it meets the safety-critical requirements that define aerospace manufacturing.

WHEELS & BRAKES
Aircraft wheel and brake systems face exceptionally severe operating loads: repeated takeoff and landing cycles, heavy ground-contact loads and the dissipation of enormous kinetic energy during braking, especially in the event of a rejected takeoff. These components must retain their integrity under high mechanical and thermal stresses while helping keep aircraft weight under control. Our forging processes produce components with high metallurgical integrity and consistent properties throughout the material. Microstructure control supports their resistance to cyclic loading, while alloy selection and heat treatments deliver the required dimensional and thermomechanical stability. Our solutions meet the reliability requirements of wheel and brake systems, from regional aircraft to long-haul airliners.

LANDING GEAR
Landing gear absorbs considerable impact loads on touchdown and withstands significant stresses during taxiing and ground maneuvering. As safety-critical aircraft components, landing-gear parts must combine mechanical strength, toughness, fatigue resistance and weight optimization. Controlled shaping of the material orients the grain flow along the part's geometry and primary load paths. This structure enhances resistance to impacts and repeated loading. Combined with rigorously controlled alloys and manufacturing processes, our expertise delivers landing-gear components engineered to maintain structural integrity throughout their specified service life.

STRUCTURE & ACTUATION
Aerospace structural and actuator components must carry high loads and transmit flight-control forces with precision across the aircraft's entire operating envelope. Exposed to cyclic loading, temperature swings and demanding vibration environments, they must combine stiffness, fatigue resistance and dimensional stability. Our command of hot forging enables us to produce structural parts and actuator bodies in aluminum, titanium or steel alloys. Optimized material distribution helps achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio and reduces the volume of material to be machined. Tight control of manufacturing parameters, backed by traceability and appropriate inspections, meets the damage-tolerance, precision and quality requirements specific to aerospace applications.

ENGINE
Aircraft engines operate in particularly harsh environments marked by high temperatures and pressures as well as high rotational speeds. Their components must retain their mechanical properties across wide temperature ranges, withstand cyclic loading and contribute to the weight savings sought to improve fuel efficiency. We produce engine components with microstructures tailored to the demands of each application. Control of deformation and material characteristics helps achieve the strength and fatigue performance required for the most highly stressed parts. In titanium and nickel-based superalloys, we manufacture complex near-net-shape blanks. Completed by precise finishing operations, forging achieves the dimensional tolerances and quality levels needed for engine component assembly and operation.
